This program annually recognizes the top one percent of graduating high school seniors in Kansas.
These students are invited by the Governor to a luncheon and awards ceremony at Washburn University
on the first Sunday in May. Students receive a certificate of recognition presented personally by the Governor.
The Task Force coordinates and administers the program. Close to $20,000 in funding is raised annually under the auspices of the
Governor's office.
