Selection Process

The selection committee consists of representatives from the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force member
organizations. Announcement of the award winners will be made in mid-February.

Selection Criteria

Nominees will be judged primarily on the significance of their contribution to the well-being of public education. Considerations of the selection committee will be:
1. Could the nominee be considered a positive change agent in public
education in the community or the state?
2. Has the nominee positively affected any one or more of the following:  program development, staff morale, community support, student interest, learning environment or general support or public education?
3. Has the nominee provided creative leadership in inspiring or motivating others to achieve or contribute to public education?
4. Has the nominee personally provided a special service or achieved above and beyond what is expected in the usual public school program?
5. Have others recognized the nominee as a force for constructive change in public education in the community and/or the state?
